Meet the Teacher
Welcome to a wonderful year of third
grade at Cambridge Academy! My name is Ms. Romero and I am SUPER EXCITED to be
your teacher! It is going to be such a great year with lots of learning,
laughs, fun, and new adventures. I hope you are as excited as I am! I am
looking forward to getting to know all about you, but first, I would like to
share a few things about me.
I was born in
Tucson, Arizona, but I have spent a majority of my life in Gilbert, Arizona. I
am the oldest of three. I have two younger brothers, Michael and Alex. I
graduated from Arizona State University and received my Bachelor of Arts in
Elementary Education. While there, I was enrolled in their iTeachAZ program and student
taught for a full year in a 3rd/4th grade multi-age classroom. This past year I
have been working on my Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction, and I
am happy to say the first week of school is my last week of class. YAY, it is
going to be the best week ever!
This will be
my first year at Cambridge Academy and I could not be happier. Before teaching
at Cambridge, I was a substitute teacher in Omaha, Nebraska for early childhood
and grades K-8. I have also had
additional long-term experience in 1st-5th grade, but 3rd
grade has always been my favorite.
I
believe teaching is one of the most rewarding professions, and I am extremely
grateful to have the opportunity to be in this position of student impact. I am
thrilled to be your teacher, and for you to be part of our rock star class. I cannot wait to see what this year has in
store for us. It is going to be a rockin’ year!
